New “Norfolk Peer Support Network” Facebook Page
Peer support is an equal relationship between individuals or groups of people who get together to give and receive information, advice and support. It’s a chance for people to share their experiences, learn things they would not have known otherwise, and support each other around a particular issue or theme.
One of the outcomes from the successful Peer Support Event, “Support, Share Together”, was that people wanted to continue to share experiences and knowledge around peer support and develop ways for us to work together. It was suggested we set up a network via a closed Facebook group so we can continue to share ideas, articles, good practice, events etc. This has now been set up and is for individuals and groups who support others primarily by sharing their own lived experiences and learning.
If you would like to join in the conversation and contribute your ideas, please request to join.
