This years AGM took place at Poringland Community Centre, Norwich on Saturday 13th October 2018.
Tom Fadden was voted in as Vice Chair following resignation of Kate Wyatt although Kate has remained on the board as a trustee for Equal Lives. Tom Fadden has written the following introductory statement:
I have been a member of Equal Lives since 2013, a trustee since 2016 and I am delighted to have been elected as your Vice Chair. I have been a wheelchair user since childhood and grew up in Thetford. I moved to Norwich in 2007, when I started studying Business Management at UEA and stayed on after I had completed my MSc in Brand Leadership.
I became involved in the Disability Rights Movement whilst at university and now run my own Disability Awareness Training company, called Purple Reach. I see my role as furthering understanding to the wider community, of the issues and barriers faced by Disabled People. As your Vice Chair I will do my best to listen to your concerns and raise issues on your behalf. I can be contacted through the Equal Lives office on 01508 491210 or email email@example.com. In my spare time I enjoy going to music gigs, the cinema and spending time with family and friends.
During the AGM Equal Lives talked about what they have done over the past year and their annual report can be downloaded here: Annual-Report-2017-18-NEW-1.pdf (127 downloads)
